A custom boot is a boot that has been designed for your particular style and character. This means you can choose the material and color, stitch pattern, scallops, toes, heels, wingtip or foxing, inlay or cords, and additional personalization options including initials, an insignia or a corporate logo.

A handmade boot is just that. It is made by hand. It takes a real craftsman / artist to do this kind of work. All the parts of the boot are usually done by one or two craftsman. You won't find plastic or synthetics in this boot. The materials used in making a handmade boot are of the highest quality.

A handmade boot is where you will start to see special touches that are associated with being handmade. You will see things like a ¾ welt sole. This means it is stitched only ¾ of the distance around the sole. The boot maker then hand pegs the remaining 1/4 with wooden pegs. These wooden pegs are on both sides of a Steel arch support. This gives a foundation to the boot and support and comfort. This boot does not have the comfort insole. It does not need it. It is made of top quality materials and when fitted properly, it will mold to your foot. These are the boots that feel great to start with and only get better with age.

A handmade boot is a work of art. Most everything on this boot is done by an individual sitting down putting his life's craft to work and using his artistic ability to bring to life a usable work of art. Whether its cutting the leather material or stitching it together every process is made by hand and this is quality personified.

This is the same as we stated above, yet it is taken one step further.

We add the process of making a last or copy of your foot. We measure each foot and then after making this last or copy of your foot we then build the boot around your foot.
